User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:10.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0 Build ID: 20120130150400 Steps to reproduce: I did the same thing I always did, and expected firefox to maintain it's prior functionality. In short: older versions of firefox can have multiple windows (with multiple tabs) open on seperate virtual x screens (using compiz desktopwall virtual desktop, or afterstep, etc)... and will recover them back in place. The new version fails to do that. Actual results: I run x-windows (under compiz, or afterstep, etc), and have a large virtual desktop space. In the past, I could have multiple firefox windows open on multiple 'virtual' desktops (say, as example: one on 1024x0, one on 1025x0, and one on 2049x0) and firefox could be closed... and when restarted (at least, with "firefox -P --no-remote"), I could select the same profile and have the same windows open at the same x-geometry. They no longer happens. ALL windows now re-open on the same 'virtual desktop' plane. Expected results: The windows should have (as in the past), opened in their appropriate original places.

Sorry, I ought to have said 1x0, 1025x0, 2049x0... but you know what I mean. firefox used to save and then reload it's windows into multiple virtual desktops. Not it doesn't. :(

*NOW it doesn't. Yikes. Sorry for the excessively nested corrections!

Martin, can you mark this as a duplicate? I tried you because this is also related to the GTK component.
