[Updating summary to make clear that this is a pure SVG document, rather than SVG being used in an image context]
FWIW, I tried the STR w/ Nightly on my Nexus S phone, and I was unable to reproduce.
(It was very hard to do any zooming, though -- whether I double-tapped or pinched, the document would snap back to the same size pretty determinedly).
Summary: Zooming a SVG image closes the application → Zooming in to an SVG document closes the application

Cwiiis, can you reproduce this, or can you get your hands on a device that can?

I'm not able to reproduce this with the Maple branch (which has just been merged into mozilla-central), so this may have been fixed/circumvented already? Tested on an HTC Flyer and a Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

I'm not able to reproduce this either anymore on the Galaxy Nexus, using 2012-03-14 trunk.

I noticed that too, so I filed bug 735808 for it.

I've verified this for the new URL. Is no longer reproducible.
