Steven, assigning to you, but please feel free to punt to Craig with any guidelines based on how .org home and .org interior pages go. Thanks!
Target Milestone: --- → 1.6
Starting with the A design (the one with the video). The three links in the first white bar (Area of Interest | Location | Time Available), are they links to other pages, or do they swap in content on this page?
(In reply to Steven Garrity from comment #2) > Starting with the A design (the one with the video). The three links in the > first white bar (Area of Interest | Location | Time Available), are they > links to other pages, or do they swap in content on this page? Area of Interest --> http://www.mozilla.org/contribute/areas.html Time Available --> http://www.mozilla.org/contribute/timeavailable.html Mozilla Near you --> http://www.mozilla.org/contribute/local/ Contributor Newsletter --> http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/newsletter/about_mozilla/ One note, Steven, there will likely be some minor edits to the content before launch, but we didn't want that to be a blocker to moving forward.

Can the "Find an opportunity" section functionality be clarified? Is all of the content in the PSD, or is there more? What effect do the "SORT BY: LOCATION|INTEREST|ALL" filters have on the content? Thanks.
(In reply to Steven Garrity from comment #4) > Can the "Find an opportunity" section functionality be clarified? Is all of > the content in the PSD, or is there more? What effect do the "SORT BY: > LOCATION|INTEREST|ALL" filters have on the content? Thanks. Hey Steven, my apologies, all the interaction notes were over in the wireframes. I'd love to discuss more once I'm at the office, but the lower third "Find an Opportunity section functionality was inspired by http://loosecubes.com. Unfortunately they launched a redesign this week! This section should take the content from: http://www.mozilla.org/contribute/areas.html http://www.mozilla.org/contribute/timeavailable.html http://www.mozilla.org/contribute/local/ and present it in the tabbed format, without reloading the page each time. Ping me for more detail.
This page is mostly ready, except for the email/contributor form - I need help from jlongster for that. The work isn't web-accessible as it's over in my fork of Bedrock on github: https://github.com/sgarrity/sandstone James, how will we handle getting this stuff to stage, and then into production (after review/qa, obviously)?
Sorry, wrong URL in that last comment: https://github.com/sgarrity/bedrock
This page is pretty much set now, but is still in my own fork of bedrock pending a browsable dev branch.
Great. Looking forward to seeing it. I'm happy to review and give feedback whenever, although I'm finishing up jury duty this week and will be unavailable at times.
Hey Steven, checking in on this, there will be a few tweaks to the layout, but are you able to get this up on stage?
Depends on: 731369
This is now visible on stage at http://www-dev.allizom.org/b/en-US/contribute/ I've filed bug 731369 for help porting the form.
Steven, thanks for getting this browse-able. Chrissie, I'm in jury duty again this week but will be around on Friday if you want to sync up on this page.
Steven, We've got a few edits around the interaction, thanks for reviewing and helping us add a bit more polish: 1.) Headline: Change page title from 'Get Involved with Mozilla' to 'Get Involved' 2.) Sub-nav: Remove sub-nav items: Area of interest, Location, Time Available 3.) Email/Form: Here's a visual of how the form should look when it is expanded (note: content in this design is not quite correct: https://bug715566.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=596902 ) Form text and fields: --Want to help? (header) --Send us a note and we can get you started right away. (sub-head) --Your email address (field - line) (show unrevealed) --Area of interest (field - line) (default is that it's unrevealed) ----Dropdown: Helping Users Localization Testing and QA Coding Add-ons Marketing Student Reps Web Development Developer Documentation Systems Administration User Research Thunderbird Accessibility Firefox Suggestions Other --I'm interested in (field - box) can be revealed when someone starts using form (see http://www.zendesk.com/product/key-features - click in form at top of page) --Privacy policy checkbox - can be revealed when someone starts using form --Newsletter opt-in checkbox - can be revealed when someone starts using form --Button copy: Submit (show unrevealed) After submission, keep people on page instead of taking them to a separate thank you page. Text in box can change to: Thank you for getting in touch. Someone from Mozilla will get back to you soon with information about how to get involved. While you're waiting, browse through some of the volunteer opportunities available below. 5.) Find An Opportunity *Replace 'Time Available' tab with 'Newsletter' tab and have newsletter sign-up form content from mozilla.org/newsletter/about_mozilla/ show for that section. People should have opportunity to sign up for newsletter without using the lead generation form and the Time Available content is currently out of date and not being maintained (let's retire it). *For 'Areas of Interest' tab show: Helping Users Interested in helping others get the most out of using Firefox and other Mozilla projects? Set a few 301s: http://mozilla.org/newsletter/about_mozilla/ --> anchor link on new page http://www.mozilla.org/contribute/timeavailable.html --> to mozilla.org/contribute EOL http://mozilla.org/contribute/thanks.html
I've made the content changes described here, but will wait on a library for managing email forms from James before implementing the two forms.
Steven, Looks great, can you reduce the "Find an Opportunity --> Interest" area per feedback in comment 13 #5
(In reply to mcbmoz from comment #15) > Looks great, can you reduce the "Find an Opportunity --> Interest" area per > feedback in comment 13 #5 Oops, missed that. Updated.
