726680 - SAP CRM WebUI 7 does not like a 2 digit UA

Description

I received a report via email from an IT consultant in Germany that "SAP CRM WebUI 7" does not work in Firefox 10, claiming it is an unsupported browser.  Faking the user agent of Firefox 9 fixed the problem for him.

This problem is a SAP bug.

The same problem exists if you want to start a BSP-site (Business Server Page) with htmlb:content. But now there is a solution for this:

They release a note 1832389 - Mozilla Firefox 10 and above support on WebClient UI
but the note is behind a login/password.

Not sure if the issue has been fixed by now.

SAP Note 1832389 describes only the actual support for Mozilla browsers. It links to Note 1691434 which describes the necessary patch level for SAP components, where this issue is fixed (July 2012).

You can propably close this ticket.
