Our team would like to increase our visibility and have a team blog. Please can we create one for /automation

Clint, given the upcoming team changes would such a blog still make sense for you or should we use the ateam infrastructure?
I'd prefer to have individual blogs on a team planet - that's the approach we took on the A*team.  I don't see the purpose of a team blog on Mozilla.org at this time.  I think that might be useful, but I don't want a mozilla.org blog that doesn't get updates or content so if we're going to do this then we need to really *own* it.

So I would like to table this idea right now and start a discussion with the full team about whether or not a team blog is something we'd make use of or if we will continue using the A*team planet instead. 

I recommend WONTFIXing for now pending the discussion with the team. If we decide to move forward we can always reopen.
Clint, it's also a question of visibility and presence to the outside. Do we want to show up as team or as individual faces. So yes, lets discuss this.

But beside one question. When you say ateam planet, where can I find it? It's not in the list of other planets on http://planet.mozilla.org/ Why is it hidden? Also do new posts show up in the main planet instance?

It's here: http://planet.mozilla.org/ateam/ But you're right, it should be on the main planet page as well. And yes, posts to our planet also go to the main planet. It's just a syndication list. I will file a bug to get our planet listed.
Given the todays discussion in the ateam meeting we will not go with a team blog but continue to have individual blogs which get aggregated on ateam planet. All new members should get access to the planet. Lets file a new bug for doing that.
