Should have the langauge drop down - just like the other countries. This way we fire off the right welcome/double confirmation process. For example, someone will go to: https://www.mozilla.org/newsletter by default, and will be prompted to sign up, they sign up and are automatically sent the welcome email in English. The next page (preference center) they choose their language to be ES. It's confusing.
This will help streamline our l10n efforts and help people choose their language when they first sign up and get the right welcome email.
Might should possibly add this feature to: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/newsletter - just incase we have people from the US coming on, that would prefer spanish or another langauge.
