Steps to reproduce:
Attempt to look up entry in an LDAP address book. Issue occurs both when using the Tb address book and autocomplete in a mail composition window.
LDAP server is based on Apache DS. Connection on port 10636 using SSL. Server certificate is signed by a self signed CA certificate. Previous versions of Tb have intermittently exhibited the "LDAP server search problem" issue (Bug 609346) with this server when performing autocomplete, but lookups via address book have always worked perfectly.
Actual results:
No results returned and PC becomes unresponsive; Thunderbird is shown as using 100% CPU in task manager. In autocomplete if search text is cleared CPU returns to normal, but with address book CPU can only be returned to normal by ending Tb process.
