this crash is persisting: Firefox 13.0a1 Crash Report [@ js::mjit::EnterMethodJIT(JSContext*, js::StackFrame*, void*, JS::Value*, bool) ] here's a link to the reported report https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/2bcedda2-7503-43c1-b7f3-8b3fa2120217 another https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-a25fbec8-a01d-437f-83ff-0da3a2120217 I am not able to use Firefox with my configs because of this bug so my usage of chromium is significantly increasing SOLELY because of this bug. There needs to be a fix to this sooner . I've waited for about 3 weeks now anticipating a fix after I assumed my attempts in vigorously reporting the same bug under different crashes again and again would get your attention. I don't know the cause of this crash, It happens in almost most sites when after 2-5 seconds when/after it loads. here the extract from the details box off crash reporter just after UX nightly crashed loading twitter AdapterDeviceID: 0x2a02 AdapterVendorID: 0x8086 Add-ons: {d10d0bf8-f5b5-c8b4-a8b2-2b9879e08c5d}:2.0.4a.3410,{972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd}:13.0a1 AvailablePageFile: 3061796864 AvailablePhysicalMemory: 1195687936 AvailableVirtualMemory: 1680855040 BuildID: 20120216040245 CrashTime: 1329485138 EMCheckCompatibility: true Email: rakshithbekal@gmail.com FramePoisonBase: 00000000f0de0000 FramePoisonSize: 65536 InstallTime: 1329426107 Notes: AdapterVendorID: 0x8086, AdapterDeviceID: 0x2a02, AdapterSubsysID: 02981028, AdapterDriverVersion: 8.15.10.1930 D2D? Does it happen in Safe Mode? Does it happen with a new profile?

Addons or plugins aren't a cause for this and this issue is not reproducible with a new profile either. Its probably because of my configuration and the JIT that doesn't agree with each other. I would love to go through the modded pref's in about:config and post them all here if that would help the case and also because about:support doesn't cover all
whoops... I apologize for neglecting your tip, It doesn't crash in safe mode. does safe mode disable the modded pref's in "about:config"? But I'm without much convincing reason sure that it is not the addons nor plugins that is causing this because i'm sure it started crashing as soon as I enable something that I don't remember or the new change in the day's build probably issued an update that conflicted with my prior modded configs.
Does it happen with all your extensions and themes disabled? Can you attach as a text file your JavaScript preferences from about:config?
It doesn't crash when I open it in safe mode, It means many things but I'm not sure which one in particular. Is there a prepared Log of The changes made in about:config somewhere or do I have to go one by one and copy the info to a text file?
(In reply to Rakshith from comment #5) > It doesn't crash when I open it in safe mode, It means many things but I'm > not sure which one in particular. Safe mode disables extensions and themes, but also some JS things, that is why I asked you in comment 4 to test in normal mode with extensions and themes disabled. > Is there a prepared Log of The changes made in about:config somewhere or do I > have to go one by one and copy the info to a text file? Copy only preferences that start by javascript.
Crashes do persist with addons and plugins disabled. > Copy only preferences that start by javascript. Here are the BOLD entries containing "javascript" javascript.options.pccounts.chrome TRUE javascript.options.pccounts.content TRUE pref.advanced.javascript.disable_button.advanced FALSE (Althogh I didn't change this boolean myself, It appears to have been altered by third party maybe). Ignore the things below if you only have time to commit to this bug and nothing else.If you do then please look its a few bugs and doubts worth mentioning IMO. I have a few doubts and am unclear about some prefs I have recklessly altered hoping it would increase performance so If you don't mind, could you explain what these things do? What does pccounts.chrome & content do? javascript.options.methodjit_always dom.ipc.plugins.java.enabled hangs and crashes the java 8 preview I have installed and I recently turned focusmanager.testmode to true because I heard it turns on some electrolysis features. plugins.click_to_play doesn't work. (I know I have to file a bug on this but I'm hoping they already know about the effortlessly noticeable bug) what does notification.feature.enabled do? dom.network.metered ? And from a week ago my nightly ux is not installing the updates it downloads every night, Instead it doesn't respond (aside from closing the browser) when clicked on "apply" in the dialog. I have to double click the browser Icon to start and it downloads the whole browser from the update dialog when clicked on update. The process repeats, it just doesnt install the updates it downloaded and it downloads it again when I restart the browser
I can reproduce it. STR: 1. Set javascript.options.pccounts.content to true 2. Go to cnn.com bp-94c73eeb-0e4a-4c62-ac0c-207892120221 (In reply to Rakshith from comment #7) > Ignore the things below if you only have time to commit to this bug and > nothing else.If you do then please look its a few bugs and doubts worth > mentioning IMO.
