Here are TB various logos. The bird in egg is the Alpha version logo and the TB carrying mail is both Beta and release. Can you please get us some suggestions for the affiliates program knowing that we would like to prompt release download and more beta testers. thanks
Hey Anne Marie, I would suggest that you have three buttons designed in three sizes (125x125, 160x600 and 300x250): 1) Thunderbird 2) Thunderbird Beta 3) Early Bird Do you know what copy you want on each button?
Chelsea I would definitely follow up your recommandations for sizes. As far as text is concerned, I think Download Thunderbird Download Thunderbird Beta Get Early Bird Any different suggestions?
Hey Anne Marie, I think that works for the smaller buttons, but the larger ones have more space for copy. Have a look at what's been done for the Firefox buttons (release, Beta and Aurora) in the various sizes. Cheers, Chelsea

Thanks Matej! Colour wise, the cornflower blue is part of the Thunderbird brand. So that one for sure. Anne Marie are there any other colours in that brand palette?
I'm not super familiar yet with our TB brand guidelines. Suggestions are welcome.
I just had a chat with mart3ll and he said that the dominant brand colours for TB are blue and tan, but we could go with and orange to pick up the highlight in the Thunderbird's eye: http://cl.ly/040R2t1d210f0k3t3Q42 Sound good?

Hey guys-- For the BETA version, did you want to make a "beta" banner that goes over the top of the logo, similar to what FF did with their banner? http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/brand/downloads/ If so, can I get the FF file with the banner artwork in an EPS version so we can keep the BETA banners consistent? I kinda like the orange. The blue looks almost the same as the Firefox one. Also, will Thunderbird fit in the copy section?
Nice. Looking great! Could you try both of those using the cream/tan colours from the envelope/eggshell for the CTA ribbon instead of the yellow? I think that'd help get all the colours in there and make it stand apart from the FX ones.

hey guys-- Here are two versions with the tan arrow (blue and orange) I made the blue different hues than the FF Beta banner and I really prefer that with the tan over the orange. Let me know what you think. :) --rhonda

Yeah, that's nice! I agree the blue might be the stronger one here. The dominant orange + yellow cta in the previous round was a bit too Firefox and this looks spot on for TB. For the tan gradient, could we see a variant with the light tan on top + dark tan on bottom to match the light source on the logo?

Hey guys-- I have mocked up the first proof for the banners above and the link is here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/36432639/Thunderbird_PNG.zip A couple of notes on the copy requests: I tried to fit them into the designs where they made sense, but because there is an arrow that already says says "download" some of the copy was redundant in comment 6 (and we needed more to fill the space above the arrows), so I pulled some copy that seemed to fit from our last round of Aurora banners. Also, the word "Thunderbird" is really long horizontally for the 160 x 600 sized banners, and made it look pretty small, so again, instead of using the word "Thunderbird" for that size, I used alternate copy that seemed to fit. You may want to reword these once you see the shape of them and how they lay out, or, you may be OK with what is here. Take a look and let me know if we need to change anything. Thanks! -rhonda

Just waiting for the designs. I'm not sure what Rhonda's schedule is like right now, but once we have them we can add them to the EN-US locale. Then I will get started on getting the text localized for the other Affiliates locales. Cheers, Chelsea
