It's been about 6 hours since I visited this URL on npr.org and closed the associated tab, but the compartment is still alive and well. I opened about:ccdump, clicked Run CC Analysis to get the current object graph, searched for nsDocument to see a zombie document object and got this: http://i.imgur.com/rFAM6.png And after clicking on Show Graph for the zombie document: http://i.imgur.com/ff8mz.png about:compartments?verbose shows: http://www.npr.org/2012/02/27/147516778/jan-berenstain-co-creator-of-berenstain-bears-dies [5] Hopefully this information is helpful.
Does this occur with safe mode or all add-ons disabled?
Doesn't happen in safe mode. But why this URL and not the 500 or so other URLs I've looked at since then?
> Doesn't happen in safe mode. That suggests it's an add-on that's causing it. Firefox 15 was released yesterday and it fixes most add-on zombie compartment leaks. In the absence of other info, I'm closing this. If you can still reproduce on Firefox 15, please reopen and tell us which add-ons you have installed (by cutting and pasting the contents of about:support). Thanks!
