Hi Pascal, We'd like to get the ESR pages ( http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/ and http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/) translated into German for the ESR community. I know things are tight with bedrock right now, but this has been flagged as a relatively urgent need and would like to get this done in the next 2 weeks to month.
Depends on: 732573
Laura, I have no idea how to do a page in bedrock, I am just starting to get it working locally, therefore it can be done in PHP relatively rapidly but not in Python yet. And why German only?

Ah, ok. Well if that's the case we can push timing out. German only for now because that's the only locale that has a volunteer moderator--we don't want to set up mailing lists unless we have someone we can count on to manage communications in both the english and their own respective list. As people volunteer, we'll continue localizing.

If it's a bedrock, i assume it's Django. And, if so, it's easy to extract strings to .po files and add them to Verbatim. If you need some help around that, feel free to ping me.
Hi, can we already start localizing the text visible on these two pages (and later paste the strings wherever they’re supposed to be), or should we wait?
I just checked and the en-US pages are built in php, I am going to put a php template so as that Michael can translate it and we can push that online, if that needs to be ported to bedrock later we will do it.
Michael, the files to translate are in your repo now: /de/firefox/organizations/content.inc.html /de/firefox/organizations/faq/content.inc.html /de/includes/l10n/esr.lang I don't know the link for the future mailing list, therefore I left it as an 'ADD_LINK' mention for now.
Thanks, done (r102537). Can you please post the link to the staging pages? Also please note, that the page may be changed/fixed.
Thanks Michael http://www-dev.allizom.org/de/firefox/organizations/ http://www-dev.allizom.org/de/firefox/organizations/faq/ BTW, you left a stray K letter at the bottom of the main page
(In reply to Pascal Chevrel:pascalc from comment #8) > http://www-dev.allizom.org/de/firefox/organizations/ > http://www-dev.allizom.org/de/firefox/organizations/faq/ Thanks. Seems like the strings from the esr.lang (page title & mailing list) aren’t used, though. > BTW, you left a stray K letter at the bottom of the main page Damn, I thought I’d removed that one. Thanks.

Laura, Michael, do you know the URL of the mailing list in German? Is it already activated?
(In reply to Pascal Chevrel:pascalc from comment #10) > Fixed in r102549, I had forgotten to include the file. Thanks, but there still is a problem. The subscribe button says „E-Mail“ instead of „Abonnieren“, although the translation is correct in the esr.lang. > Laura, Michael, do you know the URL of the mailing list in German? I got an email from him this morning saying it hasn't been done yet as he's on his way to CeBIT, but I imagine it will be done very shortly.
Oops, I didn’t realize this bug was still open. Sorry about that. The translation is finished, so I’m closing it.

Adding a German specific link is part of the localization and this part is assigned to me, so reopening until we get that link and can push the page to production ;)

Sorry. Force of habit. ;-)
I've made some small changes in r103053 for the German localization.

We should announce on enterprise@mozilla.org. There are a lot of German email addresses signed up on the list.
I just sent an email to the list to announce it.
