I have messages I use as templates for standard messages ( like weekly status ). On windows I can dbl click on them in the folder pane and it comes up as an editable message with the proper toolbar buttons ( send message etc... ). On HPUX it comes up as any old message with the standard buttons ( get messages, new message etc... ). haven't checked Linux yet

I don't have HP-UX to see if this is different than other platforms, but a common assumption is that a folder named Templates is actually the templates folder. In order for it to be treated as a templates folder, it has to be chosen in at least one server's Copies and Folders panel as the templates folder. If this is the case then there is a bug, if not, then just change the templates pref for one account to point to this folder and it should work. We have a bug where new imap accounts point to the local folder's templates folder, so it's possible your account is in this situation.
Hmm.... unable to reproduce anywhere. Cool!
