User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2 Build ID: 20120215223356 Steps to reproduce: Load some page. Disconnect computer from the 'net. Shut down FF. Restart FF. See "Offline mode" message. Reconnect to the 'net. Use "Cmd-R" (Apple computer) to reload page. Actual results: "Offline mode" page is re-displayed. Expected results: The page requested should have been loaded, the same action as clicking the "Try Again" button.

Bug 620472 seems to point this is done intentionally.

620472 is about turning off autodetection of the offline state, which is not the same as proposed here. See bug 779680 for how the "Try again" button does this, similar approach could be used to implement reloading. Please check with someone from the Firefox team before implementing to be sure the patch will be accepted.
