Build ID: 20120215223356
Steps to reproduce:
Creating a new calendar from a ICS web provider, trough menu "File > New > calendar...".
Actual results:
1 - It access the ICS web provider;
2 - The HTTP reader "Content-type" is "text/plain; charset=iso-8859-15"
3 - The error console display two warnings:
No Events was loaded. :-/
Expected results:
The events mus be loaded from the provider.

I try to download and import to my local Calendar.
That fails with no output on console.
Then i convert the file to UTF-8 and try to import again;
That works!
Why that is not respecting the charset declared on the HTTP reader?

According to iCalendar specification (RFC 5545) the iCalendar file/stream must be UTF-8 (or US-ASCII) charset. Other charsets are not supported.
iCalendar files can be read from various locations like HTTP server, FTP server, CalDAV server, local disc, network share, ... Maybe the restriction was created because not all of them allow to specify a charset like in your HTTP header example.
