STR:
1. Ensure you have Silverlight plugin installed on your Mac.
2. Watch an Eventer.com video, such as http://yow.eventer.com/events/1004/talks/1028
AR:
The presenter video (on the left) is slanted. The slide video on the right is correctly oriented. See the attached screenshot.
ER:
The presenter video should not be slanted.
---
If you have Flash installed but not Silverlight, Eventer.com will stream Flash video and it will be correctly oriented.
The presenter video is correctly oriented on Chrome and Safari, but they use HTML5 <video>, not Flash or Silverlight.

This might be a problem with the video itself. Or it could be a Silverlight bug.
Please try to find other ways to display this video using the Silverlight plugin -- in other browsers and on other platforms.
Also check that you're using the latest version of the Silverlight plugin (which appears to be 5.0.61118.0).

I have the latest Silverlight installed (5.0.61118.0).
I was unable to trick Eventer.com into serving Silverlight video on Chrome or Safari (even using extensions that claimed to block HTML5 <video> tags and mimic Firefox's User-Agent String).
Curiously, if I unchecked "Enable hardware-acceleration playback" in Silverlight's preferences, then the video plays correctly in Firefox. This suggests that this is a bug in Silverlight or its hardware-accelerated video codec (assuming Firefox is not involved in hardware-accelerated video playback).

Are you able to test with FF on Windows?

It looks like they or we have the wrong stride. Can you check with firefox 4-6 in case it's us? We made a few significant changes some time after 6.

The video is still slanted on Firefox 4, 5, and 6. I have only tested Mac OS X 10.6 and 10.7.

I suspect it's a problem on their end then, but we'd have to reproduce with Safari to know for sure.
