[RFE] 'Use this Helper Application for all files of this type'

Details
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS 5.6 sun4u; en-US; 0.8.1) Gecko/20010318
BuildID: 20010318
If you click on a link containing a file type (e.g. application/pdf) which
mozilla doesn't know how to handle, then you get the 'Downloading' Dialog, where
you can 'Save to disk', or 'Open Using' an application you specify.
If you specify an application (e.g. acroread), then it would be useful to have a
button, or option to say 'Always use this application for this file type', which
would either automatically add this application to the Helper Application Prefs,
or, preferably, open up the same Dialog from Prefs which is used to add a Helper
Application, but with the application, and MIME type fields pre-filled.
[There is the 'Always ask me before opening or saving files of this type' -- but
that is never clickable in my dialog box -- which may be another bug altogether
-- but I'm looking into that]
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
