Let's disable the WN page for ESR users. +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #736001 +++ https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/10.0.3/whatsnew/ says "Your Firefox is out of date. For security reasons, we recommend upgrading to the latest and greatest version." which is nonsense, it's the latest ESR release with all security fixes in place.
This means action=silent for the snippets, right?
Disable the page? Or disable some of the page content?
(In reply to Ben Hearsum [:bhearsum] from comment #1) > This means action=silent for the snippets, right? Whatever we do for Aurora updates, we should do here.
(In reply to Michael Kaply (mkaply) from comment #2) > Disable the page? Or disable some of the page content? We're going to disable the displaying of a what's new page altogether on ESR.
(In reply to Alex Keybl [:akeybl] from comment #3) > (In reply to Ben Hearsum [:bhearsum] from comment #1) > > This means action=silent for the snippets, right? > > Whatever we do for Aurora updates, we should do here. OK, we won't set a detailsUrl at all then.

Is it OK if this gets addressed tomorrow? My day is already fairly busy.
(In reply to Ben Hearsum [:bhearsum] from comment #6) > Is it OK if this gets addressed tomorrow? My day is already fairly busy. Sure thing - we've already got a temporary fix in place.
(In reply to Nick Thomas [:nthomas] from comment #8) > I think we're already doing this > http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/tools/patcher-configs/mozEsr10-branch- > patcher2.cfg#4 > https://aus3.mozilla.org/update/1/Firefox/10.0.2/20120216092139/WINNT_x86- > msvc/en-US/esr/update.xml > and we can't reproduce bug 736001. Closing based on this, and the fact that we don't have a reproduceable test case yet. Please re-open if we have one!
