Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; 0.8.1), 2001-03-28, imap server "Save Image" on context menu of inline jpg's doesn't save image. It suggests the filename "INBOX>1481117" and then says "Error writing to target location". The feature should suggest the original filename as filename and save the file to disk.

Is this bug a duplicate of bug 63225 ? If not what is the difference between the bugs, because both seem a little confusing as to what the exact problem is.
i think it's a dupe. You might want to copy over the initial comment because it's better than the other's :)
No it is not a dupe. The old bug was about name and/or format corruption, the new one is about not saving images at all. The summary is misleading as it concerns JPGs only. Actually, it is impossible to save GIFs as well and probably any graphics files as well using "Save image" in context menu. Maybe the summary should be changed to something like: "Save Image" on context menu in mail/news windows does not work
behaviour in 2001121300 linux: clicking save image (inbox?...) does nothing

Is this really a nsbeta1+, P2? If yes, then we need to try and targeted to a milestone M1.0 or earlier to make the beta.
I think this is a dup of a bug that cavin is working on.
The platform and OS should be changed to ALL/ALL The Save Image contextual menu does not work either on macos 9.1 and macosx 10.1.2 Even on Macos it results in a crash of mozilla (on mac os x 10.1.2 it just does nothing) I had this behaviour with milestone 0.9.8

this is fixed now in that you can save the image - I'm going to spin off a new bug about suggesting the proper file name. That's bug 129852 .
