If you type into the URL bar then the favicon is cleared, instead you get the "greyed" proxy icon showing you that the entry isn't current. If however you select an entry from the URL bar history then the favicon is not replaced with the "greyed" proxy icon and it persists until the new page replaces it.

I thought we might as well keep the favicon if we're reloading the same page.
