Does this happen just by loading duckduckgo.com?
on 4-3-2012, HTC Desire HD. My page loads with cursor focus on the search box, and VKB loads. panning down the page, displays the remaining checkerboarding images
(In reply to Joe Drew (:JOEDREW!) from comment #1) > Does this happen just by loading duckduckgo.com? This is the only page for me where I've seen a complete checkerboard on-load. (In reply to Tony Chung [:tchung] from comment #2) > My page loads with cursor focus on the search box, and VKB loads. panning > down the page, displays the remaining checkerboarding images What about the Galaxy Nexus?
(In reply to Tony Chung [:tchung] from comment #2) > My page loads with cursor focus on the search box Alright, I suppose this is another instance of bug 736439

fwiw: I could not repro this with a non-adreno device: Galaxy S2, Nexus S, and Galaxy Nexus

I can reproduce black checkerboarding on DDG using a Galaxy Nexus. Closing the keyboard causes this.
Ok, retesting this over Nightly (04/10). This seems somewhat resolved. I do not see a complete wipe-out on their main-page (attached screenshot), but I do get checker-boarding when their input is focused and our virtual-keyboard is invoked above their banner-logo.
That seems like the same as the other issues that depend on bug 732016.

more context for qawanted. Would need a customized build that disables clamping, and retest if it still appears with it off. Same testing for this other bug. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=739289#c4
Tested on Nightly/14.0a1 2012-04-16 using a HTC Desire Z (Android 2.3) and a HTC Desire (Android 2.2). I am not seeing the issue described anymore. I am seeing a lot of extra white space (Bug 739289) but I am no longer seeing any checkerboarding. For more investigations on the clamping behavior please provide a link to a custom build described in Comment 11. Leaving the qawanted tag for further testing. Please remove if it is not needed anymore.
Built a debug with clamp scroll position commented out and I don't see this anymore. There are still some odd issues with DuckDuckGo for record (pinch-zooming out will "detach" the page from the background white canvas: bug 746120), and a second issue is that in landscape mode there is a redundant vertical browser scrollbar that inaccurately portrays a long document length when such is not the case.
Keywords: qawanted
Aaron, can we close this out in favor of bug 746120 now?
