Steps to reproduce:

I loaded Firefox for the first time and set up the sync app. The setup showed successful. 


Actual results:

When I clicked on "sync now" the following error popped up "Sync encountered an error while syncing: Firefox Sync server maintenance is underway, syncing will resume automatically. Sync will automatically retry this action". Also on the iphone app I get error "Login Failure  Unable to communicate with server (503)". I have had the error for over 24 hours. I checked the Mozilla sync server and it stated no current issues.

It certainly looks like the problem is on Mozilla's end:

Ops: can someone look at this?

Well, this is embarrassing. It looks like one of our servers was down and for whatever reason we didn't notice.

It should be working now. If you still see errors, please reopen this bug.
