74552 - clicking a link in a mail message hangs the app

This started happening after scc's string landing so I'm taking a guess and
assigning it to him.  Tested with the second round of 04/02 builds yesterday and
this mornings builds.  

Summary:
Clicking on a link in a mail message (a buglink in a bugmail for example) hangs
the app with a pegged CPU on Mac, win32 and linux.

Steps to reproduce:  
1. Launch the browser
2. Launch mail from Tasks|Mail
3. Log in to IMAP mail account
4. Select a bugmail message (or some other email with a link)
5. Click the link in the message.

Results:
App hangs with CPU at 100%

Expected Results:
Link is loaded in the browser window.

Additional Information:
If you right click on the link and chose Open Link in New Window the app does
not hang.
