Build ID: 2001-04-03-05 on Windows 2000 (debug build, not comm) This works *fine* on all commercial builds... URL: https://www.ubid.com/app/mypage/default.asp Steps to Reproduce: With a Mozilla build, visit https://www.ubid.com/app/mypage/default.asp. Expected Results: Browser should load the page. Actual Results: The page never loads, mozilla spawn an infinite number of about:blank windows (I'm not sure if this is the same bug as in bug 74146)
I'm pretty sure this is in networking somewhere. symptoms are the same as in bug 74146. commercial works fine because the commercial code knows how to deal with https://. this might also be tied up with bug 74510, in uriloader. maybe.

Uh, benc, what is the build number of the program you used to test? I hope not 0.9, it is oooooold!
Netflix.com also occasionally did this to me, loading its https:// site, so I'll check the Moz builds I have at home, which are current (this only ever happened in moz)

Verified worksforme. I used yesterday's windows 2000 Mozilla build 2001-05-31-04 on both Ubid.com and netflix.com's https:// urls and both didn't spew infinite windows.
