Details

Monday and Tuesday (2-3 April) I can't send any mail (using smtp server dredd)
at all. I hit the send button after composing a message, the compose window
closes, and i get a modal "Sending of message failed" dialog. I can fortunately
confirm the dialog to make the message compose window come back, but I can't
send any mail at all.
go to Edit / account settings. Click on outgoing SMTP server. Make sure it says
"never" for use secure connection.

that should fix it..

That does fix it. Changing summary of this bug -- we shouldn't choke when SSL
isn't available.
