Add Forward/Back functionality to switch recent tabs

Details
Sometimes you have to switch several times between two tabs. When the tabs are not adjacent, it's hard to switch between them: you have to scroll the tab bar and click on the tab you want.
It would be much easier if there was a function like Thunderbird's Go | Forward / Back that switches between the last displayed messages. Only for Firefox it should switch between the last displayed tabs. Preferably this function should have the same shortcut keys as Thunderbird ([/]) to switch between the current tab and the tab you've opened later/before...

I've looked on amo and found over a hundred add-ons dealing with tabs :-/
The one I found that comes closest to this task is Most Recent Tab:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/most-recent-tab/
It doesn't keep a history of tabs like I suggested but only remembers the most recent tab, but it would probably suffice in the case I described here

You can use Ctrl+Tab for this after setting browser.ctrlTab.previews to true in about:config.

Thanks, looks like that does what I asked, with an added preview :-)

Aargh... I keep pressing Ctrl+Tab to go to the Next tab (the tab on the right of the current one) instead of to the Previous tab. I know I can also use Ctrl+PgDn to go to the Next tab, but the Ctrl+Tab sequence is deep-rooted.
