Seen while looking at Beta 5 crash stats. I cannot file this yet in Plugins since there is no component for Acrobat. https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/list?signature=Acrobat@0xefeb63

This crash has happened across versions but increased in frequency starting with Firefox 11. I will have to hunt down which version of Acrobat has become problematic.

Is the NPAPI plugin for Acrobat a publicly available product yet? I thought it was still in testing or beta. We may just be seeing more usage from a widespread beta.

This is also mentioned in several comments at bug 746254.

Both crashes started happening in large numbers on 2012-04-10, and both are 100% correlated with the AdobePDFViewerNPAPI plugin.  So both are presumably caused/triggered by a new version of Acrobat Reader for OS X (the current version is 10.1.3).

Otherwise they may be unrelated.

Bug 746713 (this bug) appears to happen only on FF 11 (and the FF 12 betas) and below.  Bug 746254 happens on the 12-branch nightlies and above.

Bug 746254 can (apparently) be reproduced by trying to load any PDF file in 32-bit mode.  I don't know how to reproduce this bug.

Yes.  I got it with Reader for OS X version 10.1.3.
