it would be a helpful feature if the message summary panel,
in mailnews, would remember the selected message in a folder.
when switching across folders/mailboxes and returning to a
previous mailbox (or folder) the message summary list goes
back to the top.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
bring up mailnews and visit various mailboxes.
Actual Results:
on returning to a previously visited mailbox, no message
is selected and message summary pane is at the top.
Expected Results:
the application should remember the last selected message
for the mailbox and display the message summary panel with
that message visible and highlighted.
i would guess this is a fairly common requirement, so i was
surprised not to find any related bugs/RFEs in bugzilla. if
some do exist, forgive the duplicate!
Yes, it's an existing bug that's been around for a looooong time...
