User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0 Build ID: 20120312181643 Steps to reproduce: In Firefox 12, attempted to view: <http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Madison&state=WI&site=MKX&textField1=43.0798&textField2=-89.3875&e=0> Actual results: Page continued to attempt loading forever (okay - really only days) and never displayed a pixel. (Had problems with other pages, too.) Didn't matter whether I used a shortcut or navigated from weather.gov main page. Downgrading to Firefox 11 fixed the issue. Expected results: Um, It should have displayed the page.
Hi Roger. Thanks for taking the time to report this problem! Works fine here in Firefox 12.0 on Fedora 16. Does the problem still happen if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? (Safe Mode disables extensions and themes, hardware acceleration and some JavaScript stuff in order to exclude some possible reasons for problems. It does not disable plugins which are add-ons.) See http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode And does this also happen with a new and empty profile? See http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile and http://support.mozilla.org/kb/Managing%20profiles . If you still see this problem in the new profile, please enter the address "about:support" in the address bar and attach (using the "Add an attachment" link above) the output for your original profile (not the new profile), as the "Modified Preferences" section could be interesting. Thanks for your help!
wfm as well with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/12.0

Sorry to be long in responding ... I don't find any previous bugzilla queries about it in my email database. Bugzilla is white-listed. (wtf?) This problem disappeared with installation of the next version upgrade. I assume some particular kinkyness in my old OS installation tripped something in this particular version. It also resumed working properly when I downgraded to the previous version.
