for the reference firefox 12
firefox used 100% cpu and i managed to close it cleanly... after starting firefox again i found no tabs restored, no session manager crash prompt or no lately saved sessions

Hi David, without a way to reproduce this behavior there's nothing we can do about this at the moment. Can you reliably reproduce this on your machine? How about safe-mode i.e. with all add-ons and plugins disabled?
