User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0 Build ID: 20120425123149 Steps to reproduce: 1. Options > Privacy > disabled "Remember search and form history" 2. Options > Security > enabled "Remember passwords for sites" & "Use master password" 3. Saving several logins and passwords for one and the same website (it may be any website) 4. Visit this website again. Actual results: Firefox prompts when I start typing in the login field. Expected results: Firefox should only insert password after I enter the correct login in full, but not reveal my logins after 2 symbols entered.

Sounds like it's only about login forms?
Component: Untriaged → Password Manager
Product: Firefox → Toolkit
Summary: When autocomplete is off, FF still provides suggestions in forms → When autocomplete is off, FF still provides suggestions in (login/password?) forms

Seems like it was different in the past, but many people considered that a bug, which was fixed in Firefox 2.0.0.2: bug 258543. See also bug 455885.

(In reply to dennis.vydrin from comment #0) > Actual results: > > Firefox prompts when I start typing in the login field. I guess you mean the master password prompt since you mention MP is on in #2? I think we prompt before that too so I guess you are cancelling it at that point? > Expected results: > > Firefox should only insert password after I enter the correct login in full, > but not reveal my logins after 2 symbols entered. We only fill the password when the full username is entered and you blur the field or if you select from the autocomplete so I'm not sure that this is referring to. As-is I don't really see anything here that we're going to fix but maybe I misunderstand the problem in which case feel free to re-open.
