Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/12.0 Build ID: 20120423122928 Steps to reproduce: I have opened the bookmark menu in the menu bar and clicked an entry with the right mouse key. After this I have clicked another entry with the right mouse key. Actual results: The blue background color (visible focus) was staying at the first clicked entry. Expected results: The visible focus should change to the last clicked entry.
Works for me with 2013-08-25-03-02-01-mozilla-central-firefox-26.0a1.en-US.linux-x86_64 with Xfce. When I right-click another item, the menu disappears, and the item under the pointer becomes selected. (Not so with the context menu in the Library: the selection does not change when the menu disappears.) By contrast, with 2012-06-19-03-05-38-mozilla-central-firefox-16.0a1.en-US.linux-x86_64, when I right-click another item, the menu disappears and re-appears on the new item, but the selection does not change. bug 2012-10-30-03-06-33-mozilla-central-firefox-19.0a1.en-US.linux-x86_64 wfm 2012-10-31-03-07-50-mozilla-central-firefox-19.0a1.ru.linux-x86_64 From https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?startdate=2012-10-30&enddate=2012-10-31+03%3A07 , maybe it was bug 746775?

I have made now a test with Firefox 12, 23 and the current nightly. The bug appears in Firefox 15 as described in the startpost. The bug also appears in both of the newer versions but now there is a little difference: The second rightclick will now close the context menu while it was opened again immediately in older versions. But if you make a third rightclick without moving the mouse the bug appears again. To be a little more precise: 1. Open the bookmark menu from the menubar and rightclick any entry there. 2. While the context menu is opened move the mouse to another bookmark entry. 3. Now the mouse shouldn't be moved anymore: Right click this new bookmark entry and the old context menu will closed. 3.1 Bug: Because the mouse was not moved the new context menu entry doesn't trigger the focus for this bookmark entry. 4. Make a rightclick to open a new context menu. 4.1. Bug: Even the newly opened context menu hasn't triggered the focus for this bookmark entry.

I am able to reproduce this on latest Nightly, Firefox 25 beta 2 and Firefox 4 so this is no regression.
