From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.2.16 i586; en-US; 0.8.1)
BuildID: 2001040910
Can't post to a beta newsgroup that requires my ID and password. The messages
are sent, and I get no error message, but they never appear on the server.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Subscribe to a secure newsgroup.
2.Post a message.
3.See if it appears.
Actual Results: Does not appear.
Expected Results: The message should show up.
No problem until I upgraded to 0.8.1. Must be Mozilla, since I can still post
via Netscape. The messages appear in my Sent folder, but I was unable to trace
what happend to them.
Have you tried with a build from today?

from the description, it sounds like auth news, not news over SSL.
I believe we have this problem.

Hrm. I can post just fine to poisonivy.mcom.com (which is a password
authenticated Collabra 3.52 NNTP server) using today's (4-13) builds on Mandrake
7.2, Mac OS 9.1 and Windows 2000. Can you tell us what kind of NNTP server this
is? Thanks.
