If a user visits books.google.com on fennec native, then they will be given a desktop site on the initial page. If a user goes to that site on the stock browser, they will be instead given a mobile site. Upon searching for a book however, both the stock browser and fennec native revert to using the desktop site.
Switching the user agent on fennec native and going to books.google.com results in nothing being rendered.

Still an issue. Spoofing will make sure you're served the mobile site, however some of the black menu will suffer overlapping and misrendering top right in portrait mode - maybe due to a block of -webkit- styling that's only sent to webkit-based UAs. Still, that doesn't seem like a massive thing to fix, so I think we should get in touch and ask for the mobile site.
(Heh - right. It overlaps even worse in the stock Android browser :-p Definitely contactready then..)

* Firefox OS, Firefox Android, Opera Mobile Android
Desktop site first,
then mobile when doing the actual search,
then back to desktop when clicking on a book
* Safari iOS, Android stock browser
Mobile site first,
then mobile search
then Desktop site when selecting a book
The only issue being the first page, the rest behaves exactly the same everywhere

Removing webkitcss flags, after inspection, we can notice that the mobile first page has basically all equivalent in moz or unprefixed world. So not really an issue.
I will ping again.

The home page still exhibits the same issue for no reasons as we interpret exactly the same way. So it's just a matter of UA sniffing in this case.
Without changing anything to CSS, we would have a better experience than the current one.

Opera Blink is receiving the Mobile home page.
To note that iOS is receiving the mobile site with a display issue.
And that Firefox iOS will receive the mobile site the same than iOS is receiving it.
I wonder if emulating as Firefox iOS would be a more general option for UA override in the future.
