Web page or screen you were on when you saw the issue: On the Add a Firefox Sync Account screen.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Input the code on the computer - computer says connected
2. FFbeta2 for android says that it's not
3. Repeat - same result

What you expected: Sync to connect

Also, when trying to remove the aurora sync account that I had while using Beta, I ended up deleting my entire sync account on FF beta. UI suggested that I was just deleting the one account ("Delete sync account") but in fact I was deleting the entire sync connection on Android. Very confusing,

This sounds like one of the cases documented in https://wiki.mozilla.org/User:Anaaktgeboren/NativeSync#Android_Sync_behavior_with_multiple_Firefox_versions_installed though cc'ing Sync team members to verify this.
Yup. If you take a look in the log, you'd see something like

"Unable to create account. If you have more than one version of Firefox/Beta/Aurora/Nightly/Fennec installed, that's why."

There is no multiple account support, so there was only one account to delete.
