With background updates being possible in the nightlies, we want to make sure that the application isn't being updated while tests are being run.
Filing this bug so that it can be caught in Thursday's triage session.

Do the default prefs that the SDK sets still override preferences in existing profiles? That would probably be really bad in this case, if they are...

The pull request was merged. What should we do to make it affect the test runs on mozilla-central?

I need to commit a change to a file in m-c to point to a revision of the SDK with this pull request landed. Will do so after I get some lunch
