Actual results:
it failed
Attempting to do the update now results in failed due to install pending
Expected results:
not fail

Can you please provide the contents of the following files? You can attach them to the bug:
* C:\ProgramData\Mozilla\logs\mozillamaintenance.log
* C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\[name of the installation dir]\updates\last-update.log
Note that if you have firefox installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Nightly for example, the [name of the installation dir] above would be Nightly.

I could not find mozillamaintenance.log
I searched my HD for it. I have no C:\ProgramData\Mozilla directory.
I started using Nightly to run the 64 bit version, which seems to have been discontinued. That may be part of the problem.

We've fixed a number of bugs since then. Do you still see this problem in more recent nightlies?
