Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:15.0) Gecko/15.0 Firefox/15.0a1
Build ID: 20120524030520

Steps to reproduce:

-Login to Gmail.
-Ensure Background Send lab is enabled.
-Open an email in the inbox.
-Reply to the email, send, and then immediately return to the inbox.

Actual results:

Loading/Sending in background appears at the top of the screen with a "Sending..." and progress wheel on right.
However, it continues indefinitely.

The email is actually sent, but the message persists at the top. My guess is that it has to do with the SPDY protocol implementation.

Expected results:

It should appear, but soon after disappear.
Does it work if you disable SPDY in about:config ?
can you also confirm with a clean profile? I dealt with another gmail background issue that turned out to be related to an old google toolbar addon no longer supported by google (and given forced upgrades in firefox).

No it does not work when SPDY is disabled. So it appears I was wrong about that. But I don't remember having this problem on FF12.

With a clean profile, the problem persists.

Additional Information:
I use the keyboard shortcuts labs, so I "Tab -> Enter" to send the message then followed immediately with "g -> i" to return to the inbox.
Could you do a regression range search ?
https://github.com/mozilla/mozregression should help with that task

For some reason, when I run the regression search, I can't type into nightly at all. Additionally, is there a way I can find the date of the nightly build that Firefox 12 runs off of?
Also, to follow up. I found that the issue is actually present in firefox 12 as well. So I'm pretty sure that it's entirely unrelated to SPDY.

we don't have other issues of this in bugzilla - is this still a concern
