Flashed a Nexus S with a build from head of the repository on 5/24 with auto-update turned off. The performance has degraded drastically. You almost have to run only one application at a time. It's true for Gaia apps that haven't changed for a while as well as others. So the underlying issues must be in the Gecko layer. Chris: please reassign as you see fit.

I made a Nexus S build from the old repo late Monday/early Tuesday and didn't notice major regressions on it. I might not have been looking hard enough, but if perf really is different then we've either regressed gecko/gaia in the last few days, or something between old/new build config is causing the difference.

Can you try one of the automated builds? Does crystal skull work?

This may not have been something that regressed. However, the performance is pretty shoddy. Examples: - Dialer takes 3sec to come up - Marketplace app starts up in >3sec - Some games are so slow they give you a warning (screenshot attached). Michael: Crystal Skull does work.
