Hi can we get a basecamp flag?

I'm not totally clear what the difference between a tracking flag and a project flag are.

The basecamp flag needs to be visible across multiple products.

yes :)

tracking flags are used to track the rapid-release versions, so their scope is limited to products which are riding that train.

project flags are higher level, and are visible on products where the rapid-release train is not used or has no meaning (eg "Web Apps).  project flags are used for project management.

am i correct in assuming you want the new flag to be a project flag along side kilimanjaro, with the same rules for visibility and interaction?

Great, thanks for the clarifications. Yep, Kilimanjaro-like sounds good. Once it's in place, if the actual use differs from k9o we'll request tweaks at that point. Thanks!

i've created the field, but we'll have to wait until this week's code push (late wed/early thu) before we can make it live.

as basecamp is our first stop on the ascent to kilimanjaro, i've assumed that the kilimanjaro-drivers will be the group with rights to set the flag.

separate bug please; one of the owners of that group will have to add you (bmoss, damons, or johnath).
