WORKSFORME Platform: PC OS: Windows 98 Mozilla Build: 2001041704 Reporter try downloading the latest nightlies and creating a new profile. That should fix it. Reopen if it doesnt.

once stories are no longer current they are apparently stored a different way on that site. as of 4/18/1 13:28 this one does not work using 20010417 version of browser, win2k. http://www.cnn.com/2001/WORLD/africa/04/16/benin.children.05/index.html

upon further investigation it appears the problem only affects fresh installs. once the reload button is pressed for the site the problem goes away for all sites. i'll keep you posted if i discover any more information.

problem still occurs in the latest builds. i can't determine any pattern for when the pages do not fully load. it seems to me completely random. quite baffling. it seems to happen in win2000 and it seems to occur more frequently with faster internet connections. does this with both my home and office computers. not that it matters, but i have included some system info below. all i can say is many pages show 'done' in the status bar briefly before continuing to load. when the problem occurs these pages simply do not continue to load. home work processor athlon 1.0ghz athlon 1.0ghz motherboard assus a7v some **** compaq thing OS 2000 2000 internet via network card network card network card fa310tx(tulip 21140) lne100tx firewall linux packet filter linux packet filter internet connection cable dsl networking via hub switch i can send any other info upon request.
one other thing. now i suspect that the pages partially load but stop before they are done. when going to the link under View|Apply Theme==>Get New Themes, the page was blank except the form components were there. 0.81 never exhibits this problem so some recent change in how the pages are rendered may be accountable.
yet another thing: since it seems to be completely random, yet occurs more frequently one faster configurations under a specific OS, it is very likely some sort of race condition between threads...

Why should this be a dupe of 76421? The symptoms were once similar, but now I can always reproduce bug 76421 whereas this one works for me. Reopening, but please close as WFM if it isn't reproducible.
