From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.77 [en] (Win98; U) BuildID: 2001041212 When I click on a https link, the page is displayed in the default browser of the system (in my case NS4.77) rather than Mozilla. One thing worth mentionning is that I used the installer build. I tried setting https as default in Mozilla (Edit/Preferences/Advanced/Windows Integration/Internet Shortcuts) but when I do so, nothing happens when I click on https links. I therefore cannot connect to any site using https (like hotmail for instance). Since today's build is using PSM 2 I was wondering if it might be that. Bob Lord mentionned in the newsgroups that someone reported this on IRC today, and that another theory (besides PSM) might indicate that this is a Necko bug rather than a PSM bug, so I might have filed this bug on the wrong "component". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. go to "mail.yahoo.com" 2. click on "secure" Sign-in Mode or 1. go to "hotmail.com" 2. fill the login/password 3. click on Sign-in Actual Results: -when clicking on a https link, the page is displayed in the default browser of the system and not Mozilla. -when submitting the info to a site using https (e.g hotmail), nothing happens. -If Windows Integration setting is on, nothing happens when clicking on https links. Expected Results: the https link should open on current Mozilla browser window.
Based on the conjecture that this is peculiar to sea installs, I tried it with my CVS build. The problem did not occur; I was able to read my yahoo mail in secure mode. The build was done on 4/13. The mozilla checkout (except for psm2) was with a date of "12 Apr 2001 16:24:26 PDT". However, the psm2 was latest (else it wouldn't compile).
Oops. I just noticed that this was reported for Windows 98. My success above is on Linux. Well, maybe that's a useful data point anyway.
