Bug 760577 will not be fixed in time for the Aurora uplift, so we'll need to pref background updates off for Windows before the first build of Aurora goes out.

Hi Ehsan
I wanted to verify this in Firefox 15 beta  and it seems that background updates feature isn't disable in FX15, meaning that it's behaving as it should (without any waiting time)

I see in you comment4 that it should be disabled.

Vlad, as Ehasn said in the description, background updates had to be preffed off on Windows until bug 760577 landed. Bug 760577 has been resolved, this change was reverted and background updates were preffed back on in bug 767125.
