Steps to reproduce:

· Open Firefox, and all previously pinned tabs load, ready for use.
· Use the 'open new window' option to open a new browser window.



Actual results:

· There are no pinned tabs in the new window.


Expected results:

· The desired behaviour is that all new windows should display and load the pinned tabs.

A special example that argues a strong case for the desired behaviour:

I use 'Dexpot', which provides virtual desktops. I have one desktop set up for home and another for work. Due to the problem described, if my initial browser window is already open on my 'home' desktop, then when I open a second instance of firefox on my 'work' desktop, I don't have access my pinned tabs. Rather than quickly flicking between the two desktops like I should be able to, I have to move the initial instance of firefox between them all the time.

Note that the problem is not CAUSED by using virtual desktops; pinned tabs do not display on subsequent windows under normal desktop usage either. I'm just trying to illustrate how annoying and time consuming this issue can be.

I can see an argument for not loading pinned tabs because sites will be loaded multiple times. So in my opinion there should be a preference setting to either load pinned tabs in new windows or not. Maybe not even in the GUI, but just a setting in the about:config page would do.
