User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686 on x86_64; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0
Build ID: 20120601045813
Steps to reproduce:
Upgraded to Firefox 13
Actual results:
The Live Bookmarks menu no longer shows favicons for bookmarked sites.
Expected results:
In Firefox <= 12, each entry in a Live Bookmarks menu showed a favicon for the site. In Firefox 13, it shows a generic grey RSS icon.

working as intended, the icon changes based on the fact the item is read (grey) or unread (glowing orange).

Yuck! That's not my use-case for live bookmarks at all. I use Rubric
(http://search.cpan.org/~rjbs/Rubric-0.151/lib/Rubric.pm) to
centralize my bookmarks and have a live bookmark so I can get at my
bookmarks anywhere. I don't care about "read/unread" status at all; I
do care about favicons.
Any chance of restoring the old behavior or at least making it optional?
Regards,
David.

Oh... and I just noticed that "Open All in Tabs" is greyed out.
That was another killer feature for me... is it gone now?
Regards,
David.

@#3: This should be an separate bug report because it has no connection to this one(Favicons vs open all itabs)

The old behavior (at least for me) was to show the favicon when a site had been read, and a RSS icon otherwise (if my memory is correct...). That was good. It basically look just nicer.

The read/unread functionality didn't change, it was improved instead. Not sure about what is "nicer" since it's a quite subjective thing. Personally I think the new look is cleaner and less likely to show the wrong icon for a feed.
The use-case in comment 2 is a bit exotic, would be better to use a proper feed reader for those needs, Firefox has never been intended to be one (we just preview feeds, as one of the many web formats).
So, I don't think we are going back to old icons, the benefits are limited and the complication is much higher (no, they were not working properly in the first place).

Sorry, but it's broken AFAIK. The inability to "Open All in Tabs"
is a real show-stopper and the inability to quickly recognize my
bookmarks based of favicon is very, very annoying.
I have to say I'm very disappointed in your attitude. If breaking
features that used to work results in a WONTFIX bug, then I guess
I need to have a closer look at Chrome.
FF13 is a big regression, IMO.

The former is not this bug, the latter is wontfix, as I tried to explain. I don't have any negative attitude, I evaluated your feedback, and replied as positively as I could, but your use-case is currently not a priority. Sorry.
