**** observed with 2001-04-16 build ****
Steps to reproduce:
IMAP: select a message with an attached image;
click Forward, fill the recipient field, click Send;
//note: the message can not be sent out
i have to correct the summary: it doesn't apply to forwarding images only. I m
not able to Send page as well. It looks like any link in the message body
prevents from sending out.

I am also experiencing this build on both NT and win98.  This is a bad
regression, it makes mail unusable.

I'm using the 2001041704 build on NT and I can Send Page and forward a message
with an image.  Are you still seeing this with today's build?
This is a compose issue not an imap issue. Re-assigning to Jean-Francois.

JF, we are getting a JS exception when you click on the send button:

Please ignore my assertion failure. I had copied an older file from my imac to
my new machine and that file was out of date. Hence the failure. 

This is working for me using a debug build from today. I'm able to forward
messages with images and urls without getting an error. 
Marina, what are your smtp setting, does SSL is set on "When Available"?

I did couple of test and I don't see this problem as long SMTP/SSL is turn off. Therefore I am pretty sure is a dup of 
bug 74387.

Marina, please check your smtp setting and try again with smtp/ssl set to never. If you still have the problem, just 
reopen this bug...

i confirm that  with  SMTP /SSL set to never it doesn't happen
in today's build with smtp/ssl set to "never" i am not able to send page
(cnn.com) or forward message with a link ( say bugzilla link in the message)

Marina, what kind of error do you get?
hmm.. it looks like it happens randomly today( i was able to forward/send page
just now) but when it happens i get an error " Send mail failed".
The ns mail servers have been up and down all day long and have been down for
the last couple of hours.  My guess is that you are seeing this.
