Steps to reproduce:

I accessed about:newtab. It is an installation Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS Lucid.


Actual results:

The thumbnails of the tabs were not rendered.


Expected results:

I should have seen a beautiful screen, new feature in Firefox 13, showing thumbnails of open tabs.

This should be fixed in F15 now that thumbnails are stored separately. 
Thumbnails are stored in the cache in F13, so previews are blank when the cache/browsing history is deleted.

I think the cache is not clean here. Thumbnails should appear, but they NEVER appear.

Do you have any custom preferences set in Firefox-Preferences-Privacy?

If you have "Never remember history" or "Clear History when Firefox closes" selected in Privacy settings, or any prefs in about:config which reset the cache to 0.

One thing you can also do is to try with a clean profile and see if thumbnails appear after restart.

This fails on profiles that have Panorama enabled.
