User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/12.0 Build ID: 20120424151700 Steps to reproduce: Opened mobil.zeit.de (which is a quite popular german news website) and while the page is in general displayed correctly instead of zooming to the width of the phone display as previous (non-native) firefox versions did it is zoomed to fit the whole page vertically which means the page width is quite minimal. The site is diplayed correctly with the native android browser. Phone is an Nexus S with latest Ice Cream Sandwich.
With the above URL, I get a redirect loop. How were you able to view the page in Fennec?
Yep, I get this now, too. I assume some clever thing like mobil.zeit.de redirects to zeit.de if browser is not webkit zeit.de redirects all mobile browsers to mobil.zeit.de But it's unrelated to the original issue reported.

Can you capture a screenshot of the original report? it sounds like the site is doing User Agent sniffing. I'm also stuck in the redirect loop.
With Phony setting the the UAgent to iPhone, I get to see the mobile site. I don't see the small width on that site. The whole width is used. In any case, they should fix the redirect issue and I have strong suspicion that that small width issue you are seeing is a bad UAgent detection issue also.

Confirming that UAgent iPhone works as expected. Mailed the site about the issue...
Thanks Johannes! then its certainly an evangelism bug.

Site now seems to work fine in Firefox on Android. It still shows a desktop site in FirefoxOS though..Bug 919450 for following up that issue.
