When forwarding a message with the reply-to set the default address type is reply-to rather than to. Like with the reply, the cursor should be placed at a new to field. Currently when forwarding the cursor is placed at the top of the message. When selecting a new address line the default type is reply-to rather than to. I have the repl-to field filled out in my profile.

confirming this with build: 2001-04-17-06 on win98. When forwarding a message with reply-to set in settings. The address field is reply to with the address. When forwarding the message the address field should be To: and leaving cursor in the address field. Now it looks like when you are forwarding a mail with reply to set in settings you are replying instead of forwarding because the reply-to address is prefilled reply-to: and then the cursor jumps to the top of the body of the message. nominating this bug for nsbeta1. changing os to all since I see this on linux and mac too.

ok, I misunderstood the bug and have been set right. I don't think it's a high priority and marking nsbeta1-

It's a bug that won't die! We're going to look into this for a bit.

I see that this bug is nsbeta1- but this is a very annoying bug. Every time you forward a message with reply-to set in default. Three things involved. First time click back to addressing field for cursor positioning, then delete the reply to address if you don't want to send mail to that address, and enter a new address to the right person you wanted to forward this mail to in first place. If this bug gets fixed we can avoid the first two steps and make it a little easy on the user. So I guess this is a nscatfood.
