In FF 13 (and 15a) there is wrong placement of the Hebrew vowels (nikud) - they are placed not directly under letters, but moved slightly to the left. The problem appears on WinXP (SP3, 32-bit). Win7 seems not to be affected (at least the 64-version). The problem can be seen in all fonts, but to a different degree. Compare: http://xyz.avx.pl/fonts7.php (or see the attachement). The problem was not present in the older FF versions. It is new. I've checked FF13 and FF15.a - they are affected. I did not tried FF14. Notice: this is not the same problem as this one: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=756850

Confirmed on WindowsXP. setting gfx.font_rendering.harfbuzz.scripts = 0 , 1 , 2 or 3 may help in this case

Simon, I guess you are the right person to check out this issue. ☺
Attachment #632741 - Attachment description: Screenshot (Aurora15) → Screenshot (Aurora15/Linux)
I can't reproduce this with or without harfbuzz on http://xyz.avx.pl/fonts7.php, but with other fonts it does reproduce, e.g. Frank Ruehl CLM, Fixed Miriam Transparent, Guttman David, Linux Biolinum, Linux Libertine.
Without harfbuzz, the only one of the fonts above which shows the bug is Fixed Miriam Transparent. This seems to be a rather different bug though: it occurs with any font that has glyphs for Hebrew consonants but not for Hebrew vowels, so the vowels are being substituted from a different font.
How does this look in the current Firefox Nightly?

It looks just the same as before (with all the fonts listed in comment 4).

(In reply to Simon Montagu :smontagu from comment #7) > It looks just the same as before (with all the fonts listed in comment 4). So this bug is still valid for certain fonts? If so, which ones?
