From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.8.1+) Gecko/20010416 BuildID: 2001041620 Some sites lock users of Mozilla/Netscape 6.xx out by checking the user-string. I know I can set any user-string I like via prefs.js, but for the more inexperienced user this should be made available through the GUI. What I have in mind is something like the way Opera handles this (see Opera 5.xx, Preferences, connections). For example, Mozilla 4.75 compatible - Mozilla 0.9.x (Win98, en) and so forth Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. the example page I gave is in german only. I'm sorry. 2. 3. Actual Results: I'm locked out of the site, if I dont disguise myself as Mozilla 4.75 compatible. Expected Results: Not Mozilla's fault.
This is a dupe of bug 46029. ([RFE] Multiple user_agent prefs like in Opera.) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 46029 ***
